Original cityscape, painted plein air (outdoors) in Old Town, Lansing, Michigan. Painted in warm, monochromatic, red tones in an impressionistic style with simplified shapes. Those that are from the Mid-Michigan area might recognize the street and the charming, old, architecture. A one-of-a-kind painting that will bring life to any space.

I belong to a plein air artist group that meets weekly. The day that the group met in Old Town was so hot. I decided to paint down the street from the other artist and every 20 minutes or so I was asked a question or heard comments from the people that passed by. I was a bit uncomfortable with the heat and the questions (that goes with the territory), but really enjoyed the old architecture and character of the area.  The scene was painted next to the popular restaurant, Pablo’s, in Old Town, Lansing, MI.
