I belong to a plein air painting group that meets in various locations in the summer. On one of the outings, my daughter and my granddaughter joined the group at a beautiful lavender farm called Ocimeae Lavender Farm. The farm had a public U-Pick Festival that day. I was working on another painting when a group of visitors stood in the sunshine and picked the lavender so I snapped a photo. The Picking Lavender was a result. I really liked how the sun was shining on the figures. It was a nice way to spend the day.
