Introducing "Sailing to Open Water" (NFS), an original watercolor that captures the essence of slowly sailing in the channel towards the open water of Lake Michigan. Measuring 14" wide x 10.5" high, this piece depicts a typical scene of a sunlit boat and people getting away from it all on a calm morning.
Sailing to Open Water
I've mentioned before that my family and I often camp on the Great Lakes. During one of our trips, we were strolling on the channel as we watched all the different kind of boats go by. On one occassion this sailboat sailed by as I snapped a photo. Usually, if people know I'm photographing them, the turn and smile; this time (lucky for me) they didn't. Nice relaxing memories.
