This painting is a succession of still life scenes using a red checkered tablecloth. The other paintings are not yet posted. The vibrant red and orange colors are noticed first then the reflections in the teapot. The sheer curtain is used as a backdrop and the artist (me) is also part of the reflection (just below the teapot lid - you can see the artboard on my lap).
Silver Teapot Reflections, 15" x 15", Framed
$425.00Price
Inspired by Bonnard's checkered tablecloth paintings, I staged this scene using a checkered tablecloth and set it up by a large north window with sheer curtains. The scene was backlit with soft light and was painted during the winter, which allowed me to take my time and not worrying about changing light and shadows.
